There is sort of a point to this post.

I'm putting together a community for The Next Great Adventure, and I want a referential post about Beatrice! So here I am posting two pictures of Beatrice, looking all lovely in the mottled sunlight. I also want to say that her voice sounds like Poe, she's the most sturdy, awesome car ever, and also, baby got back. As you can see from the pictures.

She's darling! And I hope your bumperstickers don't get you in trouble along your journey - unless it's nonthreatening, funny, blogworthy trouble.

I always thought she was sexy... just like her owner!

lol, lots of bumperstickers for such a tiny car. Accent is a a pretty study make though and hopefully fuel efficient for such a long roadtrip.

Beatrice's stickers make me happy.

I've never really thought about what Nigel's voice would sound like. She tends to be rather quiet.

I had assumed for some reason that Nigel was a boy car.

Haha. Yeah... I fought the name for awhile and kept thinking "but she's a girl car!" But she kept insisting so I finally gave in and dubbed her Nigel. My friends have discussed spelling alternatives to try and invent a female version of Nigel similar to the Tony/Toni phenomenon.

"It's Nigel ther car. Don't you know what ther means?"

"Ah yes, now I do," I said quickly, and I hope you do too, because it is all the explanation you are going to get.

(You know Nigella Lawson (the chef)'s father was Nigel Lawson, a senior British politican?)

Hi! You've probably seen me comment on Fin's blog. I think it's awesome that your LJ title is an Ani quote, and I have the same comic on my profile page as you and a lot of common interests. I just wanted to let you know that if you find yourself midway across IL and need crash space, you're welcome at our house. We have plenty of room and Fin can vouch for the fact that we're not axe-murdering cannibals or anything. :P

*vouches*
Yes, not ex-murdering cannibals, they're good people.

That's an Ani DiFranco quote? That makes me wonder if I should get into her music.

Yep, from "Adam & Eve" on the album "Dilate". Imho her work has gotten uneven of late. My favorite album of hers is the double live "Living In Clip", followed by "Little Plastic Castle" and "To the Teeth". My own personal theme song is "Shameless" (see my profile page).

She's amazing. You'd really love her.

And, for a car, Beatrice is amazingly cute.

Yes, the vegetation is green. Thank God. I was getting really sick of brown grass.

If ever a car deserved the name Beatrice, this one does. May you and Beatrice have a safe and wonderful trip across the country.
