What am I thankful for?

In no particular order:

1.) My wonderful, supportive family, who loves me unconditionally.
2.) My wonderful, supportive friends, who love me unconditionally.
3.) My wonderful, amazing dog, who loves me unconditionally.
4.) The Bay Area, for being such an amazing new home.
5.) My job. The fact that I can eat and pay rent and student loans and still occasionally go out and have fun.
6.) Barack Obama.

To my American friends and readers: Happy Thanksgiving!

Who is BARACK OBAMA?

From Jon Lipe and Slate. I can't decide what's funnier - how it's styled after the horrific Obama forwards that have been going around, or the actual content.

There are many things people do not know about BARACK OBAMA. It is every American's duty to read this message and pass it along to all of their friends and loved ones.

Barack Obama wears a FLAG PIN at all times. Even in the shower.

Barack Obama says the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE every time he sees an American flag. He also ends every sentence by saying, "WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL."

A tape exists of Michelle Obama saying the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE at a conference on PATRIOTISM.

Every weekend, Barack and Michelle take their daughters HUNTING.

Barack Obama is a PATRIOTIC AMERICAN. He has one HAND over his HEART at all times. He occasionally switches when one arm gets tired, which is almost never because he is STRONG.

Barack Obama has the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE tattooed on his stomach. It's upside-down, so he can read it while doing sit-ups.

There's only one artist on Barack Obama's iPod: FRANCIS SCOTT KEY.

From BoingBoing.

It's really a shame that SUBTEXT is good but BUTTSEX* is not. A crying shame.

Also, for those of you who heard about Ted Kennedy endorsing Barack Obama... he did it at American University, and Jon Lipe and I got to see him! It was super exciting. We were about twenty feet to his left. I was screaming my head off. It was awesome.

And even more awesome - and so far, no one's reported on this - the crowd (led by On a Sensual Note) broke into an excellent rendition of "Lean on Me" before Obama started speaking. People stood up and waved signs and danced around... it was fantastic. The energy was infectious.

At this point, I'm pretty sure I'm going to vote for Obama in the PA primary. When it finally rolls around. If it even matters by then.
